Please forgive me for complaining...

First the good news... hubby, all the kids, and I took a 1 mile walk yesterday.  That was fun. 

Bad news... all the kids and I are sick.    Sore throats, snot.... basically colds.  Nothing serious, so it could be so much worse!  But since I just spent most of the last month sick, I was hoping for a bit of a break.  Sigh.

We'll get back to walking when we all feel like it.  Or when *I* feel like it. 

Oh, and no, I didn't do the weight work.  But I've been carrying Timothy around... does that count?

I walked!

 We really don't have good places to walk around here.  We live on a 55mph road... all country roads with no shoulders.... you get the idea.  But if we go our from our house and head to the right, there is a short path that leads to a short road... that leads to the road that goes past the cemetery.  It's a slow road with horses and chickens along the sides, and people slow down to go around pedestrians.  If we go the end of the road and turn around to home, that's a 2 mile round trip.  :)

Monday, we made it to the cemetery and back, so about 1.25 miles.  Tuesday we did the whole 2 miles.  Today, my legs are sore, so I know we did something.    I'm hoping to walk again tomorrow.

The first day I held Levi's hand while he walked.  For being 2 1/2 yrs, he did pretty well, especially since he decided his Pooh bear had to go with us.    He slowed down on the return trip, but did all of his own walking.  Tuesday, I put him in the jogging stroller.  Both days I had Timothy in the Ergo, but I'm thinking I'll put both of them in the stroller to start, and take the Ergo along in case I need it.

Maybe today I'll do some upper body weights.  Maybe.

Yikes, has it been that long???

It's been too long. 

I did part of the floorwork from The Firm Hare workout yesterday.  Then I did Your Personal Best, an old workout by Elle MacPherson and Karen Voight.  Don't laugh... it's a good workout!  They do it all outside and the scenery is gorgeous.... and I'm not talking about Elle.  ;)

I ordered new workouts today!  The Firm Fitprime and Kickbutt (their term, NOT mine) DVD sets today.  The reviews are great, and I watched the clips.... they look like excellent workouts.  I love variety.  I'm hoping something new will inspire me. 

I also need to go through what I have and find a few tapes to try to sell on Ebay.

Something to report!!

Yesterday, I did a 5-min. segment from The Firm More 5-Day Abs and also managed some dips in the kitchen while waiting for the microwave.  ;)

Today, I did about 2/3 of The Firm Maximum Body Shaping.  That's one of my favorite weight training videos.  I was interrupted a bunch of times.  Such is the life of a mother!  LOL

I printed out a planning form designed for homeschooling.  It is 5 columns wide and 8 columns long.  I'm going to look through my videos and write out 8 weeks worth of exercise days, 5 days per week.
